Finding a good wow mage build isn’t easy. There are a lot of choices along the way that can determine how effective the build is. Some players like to balance out the build while others prefer to focus on one spell tree. Personally, I’ve found a good fire mage leveling spec that allows me to move through levels fairly quickly without having to invest too much in the other spell trees. Besides focusing on attack spells, I’ve also invested in buff spells that cause the attacks to do extra damage or place a status, like stun, on enemies.

A good Wow Mage Leveling spec is one that allows the mage to do a lot of damage in a small amount of time, without exhausting the mana supply. I’ve found that focusing on the fire tree brings the best bang for the buck and can help a mage level faster than trying to balance spells between the three trees. Frost and arcane are good spell trees depending on the type of mage that is being played. A fast leveling mage build needs to focus on the fire tree more than the other three to be effective.

Having a good WoW Mage Leveling Guide can be the difference between leveling quickly and having to grind out levels over and over again. Some guides haven’t been updated since before Burning Crusade so what worked then may not be nearly as effective now. Other guides have incorrect information or suggest mage leveling builds that either don’t level fast or cause the mage to die too often.
